The Fourier Transform plug-in has been designed by A.V. Chirokov to make filtering in the frequency domain available for free. It performs the 2-Dimensional Fast Fourier Transform on an image, and uses one of the fastest implementations of the Discrete Fourier Transform. It has many applications, such as:
- Separating or removing periodical patterns.
- Analyzing and enhancing certain periodical patterns.
This can be very useful in forensics: analyzing fingerprints, paper sieve patterns, etc. Do not use without carefully reading the theory and instructions. The source code is available at request.
