The
Color Deconvolution plug-in uses the sophisticated color deconvolution algorithm in 3D color space to separate or remove color components.
Color separation can be applied to solve forensic problems such as:
- Removing an obscuring color in foreground or background, in fields such as forensic document examination or fingerprint examination.
- Discrimination of inks in forensic document examination (detecting additions with a different ink).
- Analyzing histology images of tissue stained with more than one pigment, in pathology.
