INSTALLATION:

Simply unzip "grids.zip" and copy "grids.8bf" to your "\Photoshop\Plug-Ins\" folder, or whichever plugin folder your host program uses. Load your program, open an image, go to the plugins menu and select the plugin.


DESCRIPTION:

This filter will create custom grids.

X Grids: This variable defines the number of horizontal grid boxes.

Y Grids: This variable defines the number of vertical grid boxes.
NOTE: If 'Lock Y to X' is active, this variable will always equal X Grids.

L-Trans: This variable controls (in percent) the transparency of the line over the underlying image.
NOTE: This variable is color dependent so experiment with different colors to achieve different transparency effects.

B-Trans: This variable controls (in percent) the transparency of the background color over the underlying image.
NOTE: This variable is color dependent so experiment with different colors to achieve different transparency effects.

Line Color and Background Color: This lets you choose the line and background color.

Y=X Prop: This will force the Y Grid to be proportional to the X Grids, allowing you to create grids with a 1:1 ratio.
(Deactivating both Y=X locks will allow you to independently set X & Y grids.)

Draw Line and Draw Back: If these variables are inactive, the line and/or background will not be rendered.

Draw Border: This option allows you to control whether or not the outline grid border is rendered.

Y=X Abso: This option will snap your Y Grids to match X Grids for equal and proportional grids.
(Deactivating both Y=X locks will allow you to independently set X & Y grids.)

R,G,B: Controls which color channels to output.

Reset: This option resets all variables to their default values.

Realtime: Applies all effects (in realtime) on 'mouse drag' instead of on 'mouse release'.
